Wide Open Saloon was first opened in the parking lot of Top Gun Motorsports at 58th & I-25. 100’s of bikes from all over Colorado attended weekly for live music and cold beer. Unfortunately, Wide Open Saloon became too popular and was shut down by the city. The owner, Todd Hills enjoyed the business and the people so much that he vowed to reopen Wide Open Saloon again.

It took Todd 10 years to find the perfect spot right here in Sedalia, CO. Not Salida!

Todd wanted a location that was close enough to Denver but far enough away that people feel like they’re getting away.

He also wanted a spot that you could enjoy a nice ride on the weekends or anytime for that matter. He needed a spot where the local community was friendly and that’s Sedalia for sure. This isn’t only a bar and restaurant, it’s a destination venue.

Todd’s vision was to create a destination where people gather to break away from the “bullshit of everyday life and enjoy other great people, crazy good live music, killer food and drinks, and an epic rooftop lounge.”

Here we are 2020 with the rebirth of Wide Open Saloon. The team peeled off at least 70-years of band-aids from the historic and original Johnson’s Corner truck stop and diner, which was hauled off in over 50 dumpsters. They raised the ceiling, knocked down the old deck, leveled the floors, knocked out some walls, even some that made engineers scratch their heads! The end result created the Garage Bar, Handle Bars Patio, the Sedalia Room, the Music Hall and the Wide Open Roof Top. The rooftop has the most epic 180 degree views of the front range and neighboring communities! All this was done to create a Wide Open look and feel.
