A fucking great Bar in an old 1800’s Grain Warehouse in Port Costa, CA. All mixed drinks are served as Doubles in a Mason Jar…LOTS of out door seating, Indoor as well. They have good food on weekends. Hotdogs on the other days so you wont die of starvation… Big ass Parking lot, ALWAYS room for bikes. Free Live Bands on Sundays 1-3pm through the summer, free, outdoors, but buy a drink and some food. No Outside food or drinks allowed from the lame hipster joint across the street. If you think $30 fried chicken from across the street is a good idea to eat at The Warehouse…your wrong, go home.
The tenders of Bar are sassy characters, I like them. Except Barbara. I love her. She’s my kind of Salty Bitch. She’ll fight me, and I like that.
If the general public annoys You like they do Me, and you dont want to drink away your annoyance with the State Of California , there is water access from the parking lot and a couple sand beaches to the West on the shoreline where you can enjoy Nature instead of people….but theres no booze so forget that idea, stay at the bar. There is an active Railroad if you like train watching. I do this from the bar cuz watching Trains makes me thirsty. Theres decent shoreline fishing here too, if you happen to fly Old Glory from a Fishing Pole mounted to your bike.
Theres a Curio/Oddities store within the bar as well. They sell Knives, Neon Signs, shades hats etc… and there’s a Polar Bear in the bar too (dont worry, its caged and well fed). Killer M/C roads in this area. The ride in on McEwen Rd is short but GREAT. The ride out just head West on Carquinez Scenic Road to hit Crockett, CA. Another great town w/ (2) Bike Friendly Bars.
There’s ALOT of hilly/scenic roads around this part of Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. 2 Lane roads in the middle of nowhere…that lead to somewheres. Its like a motorcycle heaven in the middle of the Toxic Bay Area. Pretty f’ing cool actually. Come check it out…on a Motorcycle. I dont like people in Cars. Period. unless their Locals and theyre bike is offline. Horses are encouraged too. Especially if your a late 30’s single good lookin chick that hates people in general. If so, Ask around for BP…or just listen for the guy saying Socially Unacceptable Rotten/Dark Humor Jokes. Thatd be me. Welcome to the Carquinez Strait.
