Start in Shepherdsville KY on HWY 44 stay on HWY 44 until you get to 31 W then turn left you will go though Fort Knox you will go past the Gold vault ( it’s on the left) go though Elizabethtown KY and stay on HWY 31W to Munfordville KY and right off 31W is Stone Hinge of Kentucky Keep going down 31W to Cave City KY and you see Wigwam motel #2 and a little more down 31W is Mammoth Cave National Park keep going down 31W you will go to Bowling Green KY and the Corvette plant and museum keep going on 31W to Franklin KY and off 31W you will see the fork in the road ( a real giant fork between 2 roads ) from Franklin KY take state RD. 585 to 31E and turn North on 31E you will go over Barren River Lake to Glasgow you will go past RibLicker BBQ there will be a lot of bikers eating there on most days . Keep going down 31E and right before you get to Hodgenville you will see on the left Abraham Lincolns birth place. Also in Hodgenville there is The Sweet Shoppe a very good ice cream shop. Keep going down 31E and a little before you get to New Haven you will see Abraham Lincoln boy hood home , Nat. Park then go into New Haven and you have The Long Branch Saloon ( a friendly biker bar) and across from it there is the Kentucky Railway Museum. then back on 31E to Bardstown KY and there you have My old Kentucky Home and Heaven hill distilleries and a lot of great restaurants then back on 31E to MT. Washington and turn left on HWY 44 and back to the interstate 65 . you can make this trip in one long day or you can take your time and enjoy the ride and see the sites (and there is a lot more then I put on the list) and take 2 days .
