One of the most iconic roadways in California has to be Ortega Highway. This road is a technical road that is definitely not for the new rider. I would give this a 4/5 difficulty as there are several switchbacks and blind corners. Traffic congestion is common during the rush hour traffic times. Several motorcycle accidents have occurred on Ortega Highway through the years, so I would recommend that you take this one within your skillset. The road offers great lookout points to take in the valley floor of Lake Elsinore. Ortega Highway is a great way to travel from the Inland Empire and towards the California Coastline.
