For this year, we are hosted by TJ Cycles and Offroad LLC and partnered with these non-profit organizations: Colorado Heroes Project, Base Camp 40: Warriors in the Wild and Gospel Spokes Christian Motorcycle Association. This is our second year for putting on a two-day event. With this year being 2022, our theme is focused on the “22 a day” as well as the remembrance of our POW/MIA military men and women that have not been returned home. Friday afternoon and evening is a Concert At TJ’s, a meet and greet for our veterans, first responders and our participants, and is free and open to everyone. It will be held at TJ Cycles where there will be food, beer garden, silent auction, games and music by Neon Sky and Peach Street Revival. Saturday is the Poker Run where each stop is hosted by our non-profit organizations. The ride will start and end at TJ Cycles and the route is planed for Black Mesa Loop (back side of the Black Canyon). After the run there will be an after party at TJ Cycles with food, beer garden, live music by Crazy Like a Fox, silent auction, 50/50, and games.
We have partnered with the City of Delta Parks and Rec in building Delta’s first Veteran’s Memorial Park. They have been donated a decommissioned Cobra Helicopter; we just have to get it here from Pennsylvania. We are working with the Gold Star Veteran’s to bring that memorial to our park as well as having additional memorials, water features, seating, walkways, walk of honor, and much more. Let’s help make a space for our local veterans and those traveling through a place to connect and remanence. If you have any questions or would like to help further, please reach out to TJ or Krissy.
